This has been my issue with Netflix. It produces watchable yet easily dismissible content. It gives the people what it knows they’ll watch, vs giving them something unexpected that they didn’t know they wanted.

That’s been my biggest critique of the consulting companies I’ve looked at working for - they’re looking for a formula and people to just replicate it, while I like to think outside the box and try things that are “not within scope” of the problem (but really are the root).
