Me too. But we're all splitting along lines between whether that "seems so good" is genuine or not. I can't blame people for going either way. But the fact it's so very hard to tell (and isn't always) makes me lean: not.
People do not sound this way when they are *genuinely* trying to figure things out. They just don’t. They’re messy, flip-floppy, confused, not resolute in their Made For TV apology

If the only (carefully crafted public) personality one has is that kind (politicians and some others are sometimes are so practised that their genuine utterances are close to indistinguishable from their lies) it might be difficult to tell.

But like I say when that *is* the case...I'd lean towards their being dishonest because: why have such a carefully crafted public persona (as in being the actual/literal face of a corporation) in the first place?
