I wonder if a sexual culture only finds itself hyper-focused on consent under conditions that leave a lot of people feeling unsatisfied/used. Me-too-adjacent "bad sex" vs. assault convos also tip the hand. There's no room in the framework for "maybe no-strings sex isn't that fun"
