I think it'd be pretty cool if you didn't have to homeschool your kids in order for them to wake up at a biologically appropriate time, learn things that they're interested in & at no point be led to believe that they're about to be murdered by a rampaging classmate
Though if their classmates do go on a rampage, it’s much more awkward.
Next-level messed up: "The shooter had been through such drills. Purposely countering them may have been a reason that, as he was beginning his rampage, the shooter pulled a fire alarm."
Those are all the reasons I'm going to homeschool. The struggle is building a curriculum and finding other parents with the same values to share the burden. Help a girl out?

To be sure, under any circumstances where it is (even at great personal cost) feasible, that’s what I’ll be doing. School was unmitigated torture for me and I wouldn’t wish anything remotely like my experience on any tiny human
