I'm telling you that I don't consider it a moral issue, but if you don't believe me I suppose that's your prerogative. I don't particularly care whether people pursue no-strings sex or use heroin, I just feel bad for them because I don't think they're likely to be very happy.

Honestly he's right, the idea that single adults looking to get laid is a sign of desperation is a strangely judgmental leap. You're implying that living one way is good and another bad. Tbh, I've seen far more miserable 30 year-olds in relationships they refuse to get out of.

It's judgmental, for sure. I will absolutely cop to thinking the majority of these people lack self-awareness, but I do not think they're "bad people" or otherwise morally defective.
