No, and I kinda think that if the central feature of one’s relationships is something like “meeting them halfway,” you’re probably hanging out with the wrong people... it’s possible to find people who you reciprocally enable & are enabled by in all your endeavors
Yeah I thought the view presented there sounded pretty exhausting tbh. Unfortunate that the discovery problem around finding "reciprocally enabling" mates hasn't been solved at scale. Where's the Tinder for ambitious, cerebral people?
Adverse selection would ensure that this doesn't work. Your best bet is to look for people who fall into the complement of people on dating apps (if being on a dating app counts as not cerebral/ambitious). Or look for people on apps by being highly selective to counter this.
