Heartbreaking to read that.

It's interesting to see how the younger generations are strongly skilled at using the internet as a weapon to attack others. I wonder if it's because this is what bullying looks like for those born > 1990

The left tends to tear down the left-adjacent more than the right. It's such a shame.

It's nowhere near that highbrow. It's essentially a justification for online trolling, that's trickled down through our culture over the last 10-15 years or so. It started as a way for people to do bad things and be socially rewarded for it.

It’s heartbreaking to read the lengths people are willing to go to in order to preserve their bubble of reinforcement. When did we stop challenging ourselves with outside ideas so that we can grow?

It’s sad that we have this thing that allows millions of people to interact with each other and some use it to attack people they don’t like. It would be nice if people would use it to have productive discussions instead.

I remember running into a twitter account a month ago that existed mostly to deliver nastygrams about him, his blog, and
#gamergate. It was little-used enough to be an obvious sock or alt, and subsequently suspended. Hearing about a ghazi-style subreddit makes a lot of sense. -
I believe it's /r/sneerclub. I got banned from there a long time ago for using the letters S, J and W next to each other.
