I try to remember that these people lack the agency, courage or creativity to push back against a society that creates unnecessary burdens + stupid expectations for parents & pins the blame on the kiddos. They lost the moment it became me vs. baby rather than family vs. all else
It never was a bad thing for mom to take a break & let the kids do their own thing for a while once old enough to run around. These people need to learn to reject the guilt complex & make a sustainable household on their own terms without turning into vindictive Disney villains
