Dating is rather like looking for a co-founder. If they haven't settled yet, it's not necessarily a bad sign. It could mean they've put thought into it, they want a specific thing, not just anyone will do, etc.

This. It's totally possible to have good reasons to be single at 30+ (especially here where people have dynamic lives), but it does mean you should identify those reasons and see if you're compatible.
