I’d like to understand how witch-hunts go from: faceless people being angry on the internet -> an actual person, at a company, makes a decision about someone’s career. I just can’t picture the process. Nobody ever describes it. Is it obvious or does nobody know?

This would be a great research project Only time it’s bled over for me was when a bot I wrote retweeted something racist. Someone actually contacted my boss about it. Weird and kind of sad
