Yeah, I don’t buy the fearmongering. For one thing, in countries terrorized by the wealthy elites, I personally wouldn’t expect to see a major party catering desperately to a populist movement built around taxing the wealthy out of existence. Think for literally one minute.

And here's Western Europe, somehow magically surviving draconian policies that are resulting in the absurdly ruinous state of lower income inequality:pic.twitter.com/6M06iDKAlL

Well, thank god for that! Hurry, you should get going before the rich try to prevent you from leaving this desolate hellscape. No, don’t look back — I’ll hold them off for as long as I can, GO!

An non-substantive rebuttal, but that seems to be the norm here, so at least you get points for consitency.

hahahahaha, Davos. yeah okay — they made up their own scale based on "the five sub-pillars" of "the innovation ecosystem" (you cannot make this up) and awarded points as they saw fit. And the winner is... Germany! On output, by any measure... no.pic.twitter.com/HPwMleEWGB

One way is to look for new unicorns — private companies worth >$1B that have managed to scale very rapidly, possibly limited to tech. Another is to look at filings for IP. Maybe the list of Nobel Laureates, by country. Europe is stronger on some of these measures than others.

Even better yet, per capita ultra capitalist Ireland and Estonia grossly outperform the rest of Europe:https://e-estonia.com/estonia-is-ranked-the-third-in-europe-regarding-the-highest-number-of-startups-per-capita/ …
