Because access to capital in order to produce new betterments & scale rapidly to meet demand is what allows objectively improved living standards —lighting, refrigeration, cheap food, web access, etc. Low-income US citizens live better than monarchs just a few hundred years ago

Generally agree, but people don’t compare their lives to people who lived 100s of years ago. They compare them to people they see in real life / on TV.
We have the luxury to pontificate about the rich ditzes we see on reality television because our children aren't dying before our eyes

Yes agree. But we need a better message otherwise the Warrens and AOCs of the world are going to be able to convince enough people that simply taking from the rich is a good idea.
