just saying, when activism is literally a high school field trip & a branded pint of chocolate pecan ice cream I don't really think I'm the one diminishing our democratic ideals by pointing out that protestors seem to have no idea what they're supposed to be doing with each other

That looked like a school tradition. Didn't seem to have anything to do with anyone else except they were probably trying to drown out the racist guys screaming obscenities at them. It didn't seem disrespectful just kooky. Obnoxious suggests disrespectful.

What I really don't like is the idea that you have to say "sure the video exonerates them but they were still a little obnoxious." Why can't we just say "sure, the video exonerates them." Why do we have to caveat it? Why can't we just be nice to them? I don't get that.
