I’d argue that resistance is a necessary but not sufficient condition for happiness. You still need to figure out & pursue the things you like/find meaningful, which can be a tricky additional step if most of your activities have been coerced in the past

This is an excellent point. I read somewhere once (sorry for hand-waving) that entrepreneurs aren’t more capable in general, they just stupidly believe they can succeed even though others failed. So I guess they start with the Fuck You attitude, also.
