The continual praise of JUUL is disgusting. I can’t believe people buy the PR spin that it makes us healthier because “it’s not cigarettes.” A tiny % switch from cigarettes to something (maybe) marginally less harmful in exchange for re-addicting large swaths of the population.

After ~8 years of continuous use of nicotine products (patches, vapes, gum), I failed to taper off time and time again. When I finally quit cold turkey, I experienced what looked like a Hollywood depiction of a drug detox: shakes, sweats, nausea, nightmares. This lasted for days.

Agreed that withdrawal sucks, but I wonder if you retained any long-lasting effects from 8 years of nicotine use. There would be no doubt if it was tobacco.
