I appreciate public transit twitter, but IMO there's a massive misunderstanding about how accessible transit is to people who've grown up exclusively within car culture. Biking in a CITY? Terrifying. Fare & schedule logistics? Indecipherable. This is not easy for a lot of people.
I don't know if I'm a *good* driver, but I'm a very comfortable driver. I grew up in an extremely rural area and drove absolutely everywhere until I moved to NYC in my early 20s.

Makes sense—I think of myself as a competent driver (no one seems afraid to ride w me) but only moderately comfortable (and very comfortable riding the metro here and wherever)
