Because the stereotypes generated by anti-Americanism are among the few that run no risk of creating outrage. Anti-British stereotypes are also among the few, by the way.
But you get "snooty fancy-pants" and we get "literally the worst human imaginable, unfathomably dumb and yet also somehow rich."

Yes a much larger range of anti-American libels are not just condoned but socially rewarded.

Still nothing compared with Israel though. There's virtually nothing you could accuse Israelis of that would exclude you from polite society.
