yk, especially in highly trans subcultures, i'm very very very dubious that twitter analytics gender is a good proxy for "has a penis" but it's still probably better for that than for "is that gender" (which is :\, but.)

wondering if the real reason twitter doesn't just have gender self-id is that it would make it harder for the plaform to pretend that home depot is a person
