Most read books based on prior interests. University is imperfect, but offers incentive to broaden horizons. You’re assuming people are as well read, and have as varied interests as you, Mason. :P

I'm assuming that people who want to read will read, and people who do not want to read aren't going to read even when they're paying roughly the price of a house to be coerced into doing it
