Do you believe it's reasonable to think you'll retain information delivered via lecture about something you absolutely do not care about? Do you believe it's a character defect if you fail to? If so, why?
What percentage of the exams you passed in high school do you believe you could pass now? (Some work has been done on retention of high school material: the results are very, very disappointing.)
