Ted Chiang's short story "Story of Your Life" illustrates the Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis beautifully. Makes me think there's a lot of untapped potential for fiction writing in esoteric academic theories
I you haven't yet read ALL of his short stories you haaaaave to haaaaaaaaaaaaave. to. I think it's a real credit to Chiang that reading his work makes one want to write!
