FWIW, @eb4everyone is brilliant in that it juxtaposes development + tenant's rights. A major issue with YIMBY is a very strong local anti-developER sentiment *that's not necessarily* anti-developMENT. There are a lot of landmines to dance around

And politically that works very well in certain particular places that have a lot of activism but like San Jose is already very different.

Housing politics are easier to understand in silicon valley, the assholes who cause the problems are more brazen and say the subtext out-loud, SV DSA probably the best Bay Area DSA on housing for this reason
