Shipping things is very hard to fake. The artifacts either exist or they don't. The characteristic of having access to particular amounts of money is much, much easier to fake against most adversaries than people model it as.

"Shipping things?" It's deceptively easy to convince someone you are a concert violinist or are fluent in Japanese; it's very hard to play the violin for 3 minutes or write an accounting memo on demand. (Ironically even the easy ships are so hard they price out most imposters.)
