Every time someone says "don't worry, the big companies won't leave" due to e.g. SF's increasingly insane regulatory structure, start-ups should be hearing the silent "...but they'd be crazy to *start* here" at the end

Transport, housing and the homeless. The city can’t get out if it’s own way
It's created a death spiral by favoring stability for those who've stayed put longest (necessarily older) via means that force younger workers into a career pressure cooker. Home values rise for the former as costs skyrocket for the latter, who don't have time to attend hearings
