Sensationalist headline, reasonable article. There’s areas of the law where just showing up with basic proof and command of procedure can help quite a bit, especially vs. a large adversary for who the juice may not be worth the squeeze when it comes to fighting each case out.

Think of it as taking some actions from never being filed to being viable. Eventually the system will adjust, and this is likely not generalizeable past a certain point.

I feel like blatantly exploiting the flawed US legal system for personal gain (both corps screwing over consumers, and consumers responding with this app) does not really merit a communism comparison.
