A wide social network with many kinds of friends & levels of closeness
A very small close circle & a larger network of sometimes hang-outs
A very small close circle & that's basically it

To clarify, the last option isn't intended to mean you *never* hang out with new people, but that you kinda only want to do that if there's a decent chance they'll become a really close friend

For me - any close relationship is worth more than any number of casual ones. But new close relationships tend to improve the ones you already have - so I feel one should keep all the channels that allow you to find new people wide open. Hence the "blue" option.
