What claims do you think we should explicitly walk back?
I can't recall how many were speaking in favor, nodding, etc., but I did push back by saying that such a strong moral obligation could lead to burnout & dramatically reduce the adoption of EA principles, but my arguments — as presented by me, anyway — didn't seem impactful

It's quite rare for an unpleasant career to be good for people early on in their life, because it's impossible to stick with the path long enough to harvest benefits. Sometime makes sense to do unpleasant sprints/stints later on in life.
