A criticism I would have is that in service of being "big tent," EA hasn't really walked back some of its early ideas firmly enough, so there's quite a lot of probably-bad meme-spreading (e.g. "you are the global 1%" is an effective meme, but easily anchors people to a bad lens)

I mean philosophically I think that's right, but in practical terms it's a bridge to nowhere, certainly not what we recommend. Any other stuff like that?

I can't recall how many were speaking in favor, nodding, etc., but I did push back by saying that such a strong moral obligation could lead to burnout & dramatically reduce the adoption of EA principles, but my arguments — as presented by me, anyway — didn't seem impactful
