One of my favorite recent observations is that crisp, generative thinking seems positively correlated with the belief that there are a great many things worth smart people’s time, including in the trades/“blue collar” industries. Seems to hold regardless of class!

On the one hand, “let the campus be diverse” is infinitely more palatable than “let the campus be white.” On the other, there may be an unacknowledged visceral discomfort with, say, a 60% Asian campus population. Whites need not be the majority, but only if noone else is, either

Along those lines and it would be a potential social sacrifice but if People want to address how a ministry population of rural states has outsized political influence folks could move in numbers to the Dakotas, Montana, Wyoming where marginal impact of transplants could be huge
