For one thing, I don’t think women feel that they’re not “woman enough” at anywhere near a rate approaching the male equivalent. We tend to disaggregate it (not pretty enough, not agreeable enough, etc.) in a way that at least makes it a bit more tractable

Interesting! But if the solution is broadly the same, why would it be a less suited approach to want to become a better "person" rather than a better "man" or "woman"?

Because people want to solve *their* problems, and they generally listen to you longer if you address those problems *and* provide a solution that works
