Having met a lot of people who identify with either camp, I kinda suspect there's a kind of common psychology, too — aggressive, communicative but not agreeable, smarter than average, low happiness baseline/set point

This seems wrong due to the reverence for decentralization among NRx types
-
Maybe in fiscal markets. The central NRx concept demands the creation of a massive centralized power hierarchy, variably resembling a monarchy/aristocracy or private business

I don't think centralization is a core part of NRX. I've heard it as "postmodern conservatism" - a mostly right-libertarian agenda informed by human appetites for power.

Do Reactionaries actually see their centralization efforts as a global phenomenon like communists? It's been my impression that the desire for authoritarianism is highly specific. e.g. Moldbug's patchwork states.

Or to put it another way, I see neoreaction as nationalist and communism as internationalist. Keeping out the barbarians locally (NRX) vs. crushing and domesticating them globally (Communism).
