One of the many reasons I question the classic view of Stoicism and Epicureanism as being diametrically opposed. There's a lot that resonates under the surface level view here.
Such a great book! Read Seneca’s letters after (much easier to read after understanding the context / teachings)
+ it’s impressive how successful some of them were while applying this philosophy
I continue to be amazed by the Stoics. Seneca, Aurelius, and Epictetus are all worth reading.
