I think there is probably a general cluster that “adventurousness” sits within that also includes “rebelliousness,” “novelty-seeking,” etc.
It’s hard to pin facets of that cluster directly to measurables, but what I find interesting about the “emotional safety” movement is that it seems to have flipped youth rebellion on its head; the young are policing the offensive behavior of their elders

Which is surprising b/c one would only expect to see the decreased risk taking when comparing young people to the previous generation _in their youth_. Those in the 'explore' phase of their lives seem to do less of it than their elders.

I honestly don't see much evidence in the current culture that any "explore" phase remains

And policing in the name of benign conformity, the suppression of individuality, and risk-aversion. I often note, in youthful calls for revolution, a tincture of parochial conservatism.
