Is it inevitable that the parties in a 2-party system be split along the personality divide we see now (high openness + low conscientiousness vs. low openness + high conscientiousness), or do the party platforms basically determine how the US divvies itself up psychosocially?

Strangely, I can't tell which party is meant by which description. I can't fit any of the four attributes to either of the main US parties.

Yep. Openness is probably the easier trait to align, as even just self-identifying as "conservative" implies something about that. I'm really confused about what "conscientiousness" really even *is*, mostly because I seem really high some related factors & really low on others
