Thanks, this is great! But to be clear, it's all also entirely in line with the Jesse Singal piece. There was never any claim that 13-year-olds were getting top surgery. He does claim that it's becoming less uncommon for 14-15 y/os to start HT & 16+ year olds to get top surgery
OK, at this point I'm going to have to insist that you screenshot. For one thing, I don't see anywhere that he implies top surgeries are super common; it just happens to be the case that some of the kids he talks to have had or plan on them.

He doesn't spend a lot of time going into the weeds on treatment, but he does call blockers "a crucial tool to buy time." He talks to a researcher who tells him "data about the potential risks of putting young people on puberty blockers are scarce." This doesn't seem inaccurate!
