At bottom, the Bay is relying on a young workforce w/ hopes to grab a single-digit employee # at a unicorn before the housing crisis forces the VC model to shift. It's a lottery, not a lifestyle. Schools are closing for a lack of children; parents can't tolerate this insanity.
I had to google “Silicon Beach” bc I thought it was some new tech neighborhood I had never heard of in SF.
