“We understand that mistakes can certainly happen” is a pretty ballsy thing to say when this is YOUR mistake, @BringFido!

Yikes. You can call the hotel and explain the circumstance, and let them know in advance you’ll dispute the CC charge. They’re likely to concede a cancellation, because they know they’re powerless if the CC company kills the charge

Thanks — I’m going to give it a shot! Will report back.

Yes it’s called a chargeback. And/or call hotel and explain situation. They’ll likely refund you.
-
Oh yeah if you paid for it with you credit card you should just be able to call the bank and do a charge back

This is extremely shitty, and I hope some more just resolution occurs, but they are right that there should be no problem at all with a dispute. Never been on the consumer side but perspective from the bank side.

Nothing in this story makes me remotely confident about ever using
@BringFido services. Ever. -
Yeah the moral of the story seems to be one should avoid that app.

The policy for this hotel listed the room types that are pet friendly before you booked. The room you booked was not listed. We will make every effort to get you the refund if you wish to cancel the reservation, but it is ultimately up to the hotel since it is their policy.
