If an education system were performing a sort of creative/reasoning lobotomy, one might expect a resulting society overwhelmed by helplessness in the face of the few unlobotomized, unable to generate solutions or collaborate productively, and consumed by impotent reactivity

...and one might even anticipate that society being *wholly defensive* of the lobotomy: unable to evaluate whether the success metrics offered to them make *any* sense, inclined to accept apparent truisms over evidence, uninterested in & unwilling to experiment with alternatives
