Most recognize the weaknesses of "teaching to the test," but the exhausting pressure to cram is only part 1 of the problem; part 2 is that bubble tests disappear from life after school while self-direction, courage, creativity, & open-ended problem-solving become crucial.

The value in that being that humans vary on their level of comfort with asking questions, particularly when they don't really know what their question is even if they can recognize when feedback is or is not helpful

Yeah "evaluating" - much like "judging" and "criticising" - is always ambiguous between whether the intent is to help or harm. (And whose agenda one is helping or harming.)

This creates confusion when e.g. people are told they should "seek out criticism". Because the word is used for one of the most useful things and one of the most harmful/painful things. And in most people's minds it is associated with the latter. Would really like a better word.
