Well my point was more that regardless of whether the parent is being helpful or over-involved the usual effect on the teacher is that it is now more difficult for them to mistreat the child. But these incongruent demands are a very real thing too.
Hmm, I think there’s a common flavor of over-involvement that enables or even pressures the teacher to mistreat the child... the sort where the parent is expecting specific outcomes & views them as the result of teaching *done to* the child

Right in such situation the parent wants something but neither the child nor the teacher want that and that leads to conflict. But this same act could make sense if e.g. the child and the parent wanted the same thing.
