It would be cool if companies could figure out how to link equity vesting to Stuff Done, but then they really would have to stop hobbling their talent and LOL good luck with that

Anyway, the same bureaucracies that don't know how to value engineering output probably aren't really utilizing it/protecting it from bottlenecks...? Exceptional engineers are disproportionately incentivized to produce actual value. Go get it fam, build that team!
