I mute pretty liberally, and the #1 way to make the list is to make it clear that you either didn’t read the tweet you’re replying to carefully, or that you privileged your pet point so strongly that you willfully misinterpreted others’ thoughts in order to make your own relevant
I find it tough to not be baited — there's a desire to correct the record when someone is attributing claims or assumptions/implications to me that I don't endorse. Blocking feels unnecessarily confrontational... right now I reserve that for people who are borderline abusive.
