Yeah I think one should basically seek to have fun/do what they want right now and destinations,paths,etc. should just be theories on how to act so you can have fun indefinitely. Or more and more fun as you go.

I think goals/destinations tend to fall out of or get generated by desires. For me atleast, those goals tend to have implicit value because they are - as you have already said - designed to satisfy desires. Paths are filled with problems and can only be fully appreciated after.
