I know my goal in life very well, I just really don't know the best way to pursue it.

What I usually do when I don't know what to do with my life as a whole, is to live in meaningful chunks of 2 to 4 years, retrospectively weave them together in a loose narrative, and pretend that's what I had planned all along. Works every time.
