Also many people speak of the importance of "intuition" in their endeavours. It is often deemed to be incredibly valuable and the main thing that makes people really good at things. What is intuition if not subconsciously held ideas?

The word is really ambiguous though. When people speak of "hard work" what else could that mean other than unenjoyable work? When people speak of a "hard problem" though there usually is no connotation of un-enjoyableness, if anything it's the opposite.

Um, I thought that’s what we were discussing. There are unenjoyable tasks in life that must be accomplished. Imo a healthy strategy is to change one’s psychology so that they’re less unenjoyable. You and others seemed to be advocating avoidance.

I don't think
@DavidDeutschOxf was advocating avoidance. Just trying to bring the conscious and subconscious in alignment as opposed to just ignoring one or the other. That will often result in avoiding the tasks that ~must~ be accomplished though. - Show replies
