I completely agree and can watch it in real life with my kids. Often the greatest plays/ideas follow a situation of boredom which they finally overcame. No chance to get there with constant external stimulation
If you’re thinking about something that’s interesting to you, you’re not bored. It’s certainly possible to be coerced into thinking boring thoughts, spoon-fed to you with no concern for where your curiosity is trying to veer, and that’s what I’m pointing at.
