Boredom and creativity mutually exclusive? Oh I don't agree at all. I think that boredom - not being entertained by an external source - creates space in one's mind to BE creative. You will NEVER be creative while watching a video.

Boredom is orthogonal to the source of focus, and the idea that there are good & bad mediums for information is a huge red herring. Can you be creative while reading a book? Why not while watching a film?

Actually, I have no idea what does children's creativity mean and how it can influence their adulthood. I don't think this process can be influenced in given social group.
