    Seeing a lot of Email Marketing / Marketing Automation tools with >$10M ARR trying to become Customer Experience Platforms. Why? Code is a commodity, once you have a strong brand SaaS is a playbook. Also, CXM means bigger budgets and huge TAM making room for multiple winners.

    I’ve been noticing lately, Martech tools are moving towards being the systems of record (customer data) & systems of delivery (customer-facing actions) while tools like Segment, , Workato are becoming the systems of engagement (workflows, jobs etc.) Wdyt?

    A buddy of mine thinks there are two kinds of PMs — “builders” & “career builders”. The former do whatever it takes to get shit done, while the latter worry about career, title etc. Little do they know that real business impact drives career growth, not the other way around :)
