The documents contain text messages exchanged between Reince Priebus and “audit” spokesman Randy Pullen as far back as December, before Pullen officially joined. “I am assisting on the election audit in AZ,” Pullen texted on March 2. “Any suggestions on election audit firms?”

On March 7, Pullen wrote, “I am drafting up an audit plan. I have a couple examples. Did you put one together for Wisconsin? ... Could you share?” “Let me make a call this am and get back to u,” Priebus responded the next day.

In Wisconsin, Assembly Speaker Robin Vos has initiated a partisan election investigation as well, and hired Michael Gableman, a former state Supreme Court justice, to lead it. Gableman has visited the Arizona “audit,” and the records show contacts between officials and Gableman.

There are also texts between Pullen and Jeff DeWit, a former Trump appointee and Arizona treasurer, that suggest DeWit was relaying messages to and from former President Trump himself.

According to an accompanying privilege log, (which lists records that have been withheld because of legislative and other privileges), Pullen and Senate Liaison Ken Bennett exchanged multiple emails with conspiracy theorist Ayyadurai.
