I don't think it's stupid. It allows a Admin user to get to SYSTEM. Aren't there a number of ways to accomplish that? If you're not an administrator, you get prompted to log in with admin credentials. Maybe I'm missing something...
It can be an application whitelisting bypass or behaviour detection bypass, as some orgs trust anything signed plus others will whitelist Nvidia. You can combine it with auto update flaw to get from user to system
